Are you thinking of taking up trail running? Or maybe you’ve started but have a ton of questions building up in your head….

What gear to take? How to fuel? What is the best way to recover and build strength? Or maybe you’re wondering where and how to start?

We get questions like this all the time and so we’ve created TrailTalk. This series of free events, run over eight weeks, is designed to bring like minded people together to have a conversation (and a run) about trail running.

There’s so much information available to us through online channels but in our experience it’s the tips and tricks shared by fellow runners that we find most valuable and can add to our Trail Running Toolkit!

There are four events in the inaugural TrailTalk series:

1. All the Gear

Come and hear about the best (and worst) gear in the business from those who are slightly addicted to trying the latest and greatest. Bring your questions… and if you’ve been on the trails for a while already, bring your favourite gear to show the rest of us!

2. Fuelling

Maybe you’ve tried fuelling options already, maybe you don’t know where to start. Come and hear about what works for some runners and what doesn’t. Nutrition is such a personal thing but it’s so valuable to hear what others have learnt through trial and error. From pickle juice to boiled potatoes, you’ll be surprised what ideas you might walk away with.

3. Strength & Recovery

This is where we find most runners struggle, learning how to build up muscle strength and most importantly, recovering right to reduce risk of injury and keep you running for longer.

4. Transition to trails – where and when to run

We live in such a spectacular part of the world and we have a wonderland of trail running options to explore right in our backyard.  Come and hear from those who have missioned to almost every corner so you can plan your next adventure.

This is a free, fun fitness series of events and everyone is welcome.

Each event will start with a 20min out and back trail run for all abilities, followed by an hour of power – an open conversation to chat, listen, share and learn new ways of taking your adventure to the next level.

Facebook events will be shared and RSVP is ideal
